Environmental Assessments

This assessment is completed in accordance with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act. Development on aboriginal land requires this Environmental Assessment (EA).

It facilitates the avoidance of environmentally sensitive areas, determines proximity to water bodies and gathers typical background or baseline data. This assessment is usually completed with a member of the Band in order to properly identify traditional and cultural uses of the area. EAs are submitted to Indian Oil and Gas Canada in support of lease application on aboriginal lands.
