Marquis Alliance uses all conventional WBM mud systems including Floc water, Gel Chemical, Salt systems and Weighted systems. The list below highlights innovative enhancements and new systems that Marquis Alliance would like to showcase.
The MA Aminamax system is an enhanced water based drilling fluid that contains an additive that will provide the same inhibitive qualities of a salt based system. However, the Aminamax system is more environmentally friendly, non - corrosive and cost effective. Aminamax is compatible with numerous drilling fluid additives and can be catered to meet the needs of the operator. For example if more inhibition is required it can be used in conjunction with PHPA to provide two mechanisms of inhibition. The MA Aminamax system is also used where formation damage is a concern. It is a highly inhibitive drill-in fluid that provides added lubricity, excellent carrying capacity, and will maintain the integrity of the reservoir.
Silicate is a water based drilling fluid additive that will inhibit the shale in formations and thus stabilize the wellbore. Silicate systems are suitable for drilling highly reactive clay, dispersible chalk formations and fractured zones. Silicates protect the shale by in-situ precipitation and gelling. This occurs when the silicate comes in contact with neutral pore fluid in zones and /or the polyvalent cations such as calcium or magnesium in the formation. Silicate floc water is ideal for drilling top hole sections and reactive zones minimizing losses and mud rings. The reduced solids system is ideal for reuse and as well as make up fluid. Marquis Alliance specialty products provide excellent solids removal and provide good cost control when extending floc water intervals. For high density applications the system reduces the chance of losses in well control situations. The MA Silicate weighted system has been used up to 2000+ kg/m3.
The MA Polymer system is a basic drilling fluid system with a modification promoting the stabilization and encapsulation of cuttings. Selected PHPA's can be added at the beginning or at the end of wellbore sections to target problematic formations. PHPA addition is a simple cost effective way to enhance a basic system to something more inhibitive.
The MA Low Damage Polymer system incorporates select products to offer a reduced near wellbore impact on production zones. The LD Polymer system is crucial when doing barefoot completions or minimizing drilling fluid impact work for easy clean up. The system can be customized to fit the needs of the customer.
The MA Extendrill Polymer is a polymer system that is blended to enhance extended reach drilling through lubricity and fluid performance. Ease of use is realized by limiting the number of products required to maintain the drilling fluid and provide an efficient way of controlling drilling fluid properties.
MA Rapid Drill is a liquid non damaging, non emulsion forming polymer system. The system is made up of modified polymers and fluid loss additives. It is easily dispersed, highly lubricous, and environmentally friendly. Enhanced ROP’s and excellent wellbore stability are added benefits to this mud system.
