Viscosifiers

Alcomer 274 is an aqueous emulsion of a synthetic polymer. It has a low viscosity for ease of application and mixing into oil-based drilling fluids.

Bentone 150 rheological additive is an easy dispersing, self-activating organoclay that exhibits high performance efficiency in diesel, low aromatic mineral oil, poly, linear and isomerized alpha olefins, and modified vegetable oil contained base fluid formulations. It is highly effective in all oil and invert muds, fracture and workover fluids.

Bentone 910 is an organophilic bentonite clay, treated with quaternary amine compound. The product is used to increase the carrying capacity and hole-cleaning ability of oil based mud systems.

Natural gel is an untreated bentonite (sodium montmorillonite), which meets the API specification for Non-treated Bentonite (API Spec 13A, Section 5, Fourteenth Ed. Aug. 1991). Generally, the wet yield of untreated bentonite is 80-90 bbl/ton of 15 cps viscosity mud.

ABI High Yield bentonite is a highly concentrated, polymer enhanced, sodium montmorillonite. In distilled water, it yields a minimum 220 bbl/ton of 15 cps viscosity mud.

Bentonite – Regular (ABI Premium Gel) is an 80% dry screen analysis (% minus US 200 mesh) bentonite for use in all freshwater drilling conditions.

Bri-Chem LG 100 is a non-thixotropic biopolymer liquid suspension in a light mineral oil base. Bri-Chem LG100 disperses and yields rapidly in water and brines.

Core V-100 is a powdered polymer viscosifier for coring and water well drilling applications. Additional to its viscosifying capabilities, it’s designed to provide effective fluid loss control.

Geovis XT polymer is a high molecular weight polysaccharide used to enhance the low shear rate viscosity of water based circulating systems.

Kelzan XCD is a high molecular weight biopolymer of Xanthan Gum.

Millzan polymer is a dispersible, high molecular weight xanthan biopolymer used for rheology control in water-based systems. Millzan is used primarily as a viscosifier in fresh water, seawater or saline muds, from low solids to highly weighted systems.

Natrosol Hi-Vis polymer is a nonionic, ultra high molecular weight HEC (hydroxyethylcellulose) designed specifically to viscosify water-based oilfield fluids.

Rapid Vis is a non-thixotropic biopolymer liquid suspension in a light mineral oil base. Rapid - Vis disperses and yields rapidly in water and brines.

Salt Gel is a hydrous magnesium silicate (sepiolite), which meets the specifications as set down in the API Standards Specification l3A, Sec. 4.

Ultra-Link is cross-linking additive capable of adjusting the rate at which gelation of guar or derivatized guar occurs in water-based fluids.
