Flocculants

Drilling Fluids – Flocculants

Flocculants cause a dispersed colloidal system (such as clay) to coagulate and form flocs. Most flocculants are either multivalent cations such as calcium, magnesium and aluminum, or long-chain polymers. High pH, high salinity and high temperature can also cause clay flocculation.

  • Marquis Alliance Proprietary Product

    MF SILFLOC

    Flocculant cationic water-soluble polymer.

  • Calcium Nitrate (Envirofloc)

Calcium Nitrate (Envirofloc) is an off-white odourless granule that is hygroscopic in nature. It is the hydrated double salt 5Ca (NO3)2.NH4NO3 .10H20.

  • Magnafloc 351

Magnafloc 351 is a high molecular weight non-anionic flocculant.

  • Mud Floc

Mud Floc is a polyacrylamide based polymer used as a solids flocculant in the form of a light, white coloured granular powder.

  • Ultra Floc L

Ultra Floc L is an anionic polyacrylamide emulsion. Ultra Floc L is a high-molecular-weight polymer with a moderate anionic charge. It is a proven performer in both industrial and oil field drilling applications. Ultra Floc L is usable in fresh water and brines, as well as having a good tolerance to high temperatures.

  • Zetag 7557

Zetag 7557 is a medium molecular weight, polyacrylamide based flocculant, which exhibits a high degree of cationic charge. Once hydrated in water, reacts readily to provide superior floc formation and performance in a variety of solids/liquid separation processes. Zetag 7557 is supplied in a unique micro-bead form, which renders the product free flowing and essentially non-dusting.

  • Zetag 7587

Zetag 7587 is a medium-molecular-weight, polyacrylamide based flocculant, which exhibits a very high degree of cationic charge

  • Zetag 7692

Zetag 7692 is a non-toxic high-molecular-weight cationic polyacrylamide flocculant supplied as free-flowing, non-dusting granules with excellent solubility. Zetag 7692 provides superior drainage, colloidal retention and maximum Floc strength in mill effluent treatment programs.
